House Specific Engineering Design
In coordination with architects and client requirements, we provide structural design solutions for all building elements outside the scope of NZS 3604. Our expertise covers foundation and ground systems such as concrete slabs on grade with perimeter beams or masonry walls for expansive soils, TC1–TC3 foundation and ribraft design, driven timber piles, augered and screw piles, as well as subfloor and overall house bracing systems. We design a wide range of structural elements including steel portal and braced steel frames, LVL portals, exposed trusses, portico structures, steel and timber beams, GL and LVL beams, floor diaphragms, stringer connections, elevated timber decks, and floor joists beyond NZS 3604 requirements. Our capabilities also extend to precast and tilt-up panels, masonry and reinforced concrete retaining walls, timber pole retaining walls, and structural components for smaller residential and commercial structures such as carports, garages, lintels, and shelving steel angle systems. Through this comprehensive service, we support projects with practical, coordinated design that integrates seamlessly with architectural intent and client needs.

Our seismic strengthening services help achieve NBS ratings of greater than 33%, 67%, or 100%, ensuring structures meet the required standards for safety and compliance. Additionally, we specialize in integrating retrofit solutions with existing buildings to enhance their seismic resilience.
Foundation & Ground Design
We specialize in RibRaft foundation design for TC1, TC2, and TC3 sites, offering a range of foundation systems, including timber, screw, and concrete augured raft-on-pile solutions. Our services also include the design of ground beams and pipe bridging, as well as tailored solutions for liquefaction-prone and reactive soils to ensure structural stability in challenging conditions.
Specialist Engineering Services
We offer a range of specialized services, including temporary works and scaffolding (SED design), as well as seismic restraint design for MEP services. Our expertise also extends to swimming pool design using GRP and sprayed concrete, along with the design of suspended ceilings, glass balustrades, and aluminum louver systems.
Energy, Infrastructure & Flood Protection
We provide seismic strengthening for equipment floors, along with the design of pipe racks and tank foundations. Our services also include structural audits for flood protection systems, such as pumping stations, flood gates, and culverts.
